Kid's Information
I truly love photographing children. There is nothing like capturing that look of pure joy that only children can convey. I believe that the key element of any children's shoot is allowing the children to have FUN! I don't have any rules or expectations of the children. The best photo shoots are when the kids do whatever makes them happy. I prefer to just let the kids be themselves and capture them as they truly are!
I do shoots in my private studio or on location. I love to shoot outdoors. I know some fabulous locations, but am also open to shooting at your favorite spot.
Bright, solid-colored clothes always work well in photographs. I encourage parents to bring outfits that the children are comfortable wearing. Please feel free to bring multiple outfits so that we can work together to decide what will work best. Also, it is a good idea to bring along any item that will make your child more at ease. For example a favorite toy or blanket.
Design Appointment
I highly recommend that you come in for a design consultation. Here not only do we get to meet and a chance to know each other a bit, but we plan out your photo session. We discuss the location that best suits your vision. We will look at sample images and discuss the vision we have for your portraits. Discussing outfits, props, and backgrounds, getting a feel for creating the images that you will cherish for a lifetime. Preparation is key to a successful and smooth portrait session.
When to schedule your Child's portrait session
I will work around your child's schedule to ensure a successful photo session. I encourage parents to make sure their child is well rested and fed so that the photo session will be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Its always a good idea to bring along snacks or other incentives to get that perfect shot.
Your session
I shoot your portrait sessions according to each individual child. I like to allow for plenty of time for getting that perfect shot.
